We are having a heat wave here and hydrating is especially important. But what about fresh organic fruit? Is it ok to go crazy and eat LOTS of it instead of water? Good question. It really depends on whether you have a strong or weak digestion. And since most people have weak digestion nowadays, it is important to be careful with sweet fruit:
Fresh raw fruit are wonderful, don't get me wrong. They have fiber, vitamis, minerals and protective phytochemicals. You just need to eat them right to rip the benefits and avoid the problems.
- eat it in moderate portions
- only between meals (on emptry stomach)
- don't eat raw fruit in the evening
