How I Created More Pleasure :)

I had a very good weekend.  Why?  I didn't have to clean my house.  My house was beautifully cleaned by the cleaning service I hired for the first time.  Yes, it wasn't cheap, and yes, I'll be looking for a better deal, but the house is sparkling and I had a ton of free time to enjoy myself, run on the beach, play piano, hang out with hubby, and work on my 1st nutrition newsletter.  Among other things, like meeting my girls for a lovely picnic and going out dancing with a bunch of friends on Saturday night at the Biltmore.

I work hard at my full-time job during the week.  It's not always pleasurable and fun.  So I decided to increase the amount of pleasure and fun and play when I'm not working.

Think about it - who told you that cleaning and laundry must be a part of your life?  Maybe it was the case for our grandmothers and mothers, but times have changed.  We are working women and we need to learn how to stop being Superwomen trying to do everything ourselves.  It's OK to delegate.

We are not victims of circumstances -- we create our lives.  I believe that if you want cleaning and laundry to be a part of your life, then that's your choice:  it's really up to you.  And if you like it, great!  But if you don't, if it creates unnecessary stress -- why not make a different choice?  I don't hate it -- I simply have other things that I would MUCH rather do.  Something that empowers me, brings joy and play and inspiration into my life.

Is there something you wish you didn't have to do?  Do share!  :)
