Things have been pretty crazy lately at my legal job. Huge deadline consumed me for two days and
then left me feeling shaky and drained.
It happens.
But it got me thinking about how I can take a better care of
myself. What would be a simple tool to add to my collection of healthy tricks that will help me to get through the rough
times with less damage? One of my main
concerns was my skin: after the stress,
it looked very dry, bumpy and tired. And that’s how I came up with my Water Solution.
As a holistic health coach, I keep hearing about drinking
more water. If you
haven’t heard about a million of water-drinking benefits, just
google it. But I never really applied this wisdom to myself. I do drink it but I never
really counted of how many glasses I had during the day. So I decided to give it a try and it worked! I am a big fan of handy tricks that make
things easier and more fun so here is what helped me: a simple free iPhone
app. It’s called Waterlogged. Basically, you just log the amount of water
you drink, filling the virtual 64 oz glass which makes you feel pretty darn
good about yourself. :-) Here is how it looks:
When I came home from work today, my skin looked glowing and
moisturized and this is after just one day!
I also had enough energy to go for a nice run on the beach which led to
a fairly nice swim. (This week has been
very warm in Santa Barbara.)
So give it a try! Don’t
