I finished the book “Getting Things Done” and loved it. Helped me so much to get organized, productive and calm-minded. The latter is the most important, by the way. I think EVERYONE will benefit from reading this book.
Moving on to my next book: “Transcend” by R. Kurzweil and T. Grossman. Nine Steps to Living Well Forever. Really cool book. Answers lots of questions and gives hope. I wish I read it a long time ago. That book also makes me extremely interested in human anatomy, biology and medicine in general. So, I am also reading a wonderful colorful Atlas of a Human Body.
The above-mentioned books set me up nicely for the IIN school start. Today I tried my school iPod for the first time and listened to the first Fundamentals lecture. Fun! I will hold on reading the school materials until I finish my Transcend book, but listening to the iPod is totally doable when I walk or travel.
Another biggie – I started playing tennis again. Every health program should start with serious exercise. Diet alone will not help you to become a really healthy person. It doesn’t matter what you do, what kind of sport, as long as you enjoy it and get a good work out with sweat and elevated heart rate. Tennis also made me switch to my summer schedule which is so cool. Now I get up before 7 am, walk, and get to the office by 8 am, so that I can get off work at 4:30 pm. It feels incredible to get off work when the sun is still shining bright. I can play tennis, run errands and, most importantly, study. Needless to say that by 10 pm I have no trouble falling asleep. I also feel darn good about my progress with studying. J
About my diet – overall, I am definitely on a healthy diet, although I’m not following any particular one anymore. I cheat slightly with sugar and other stuff, but my sugar intake is pretty low. Plus, very soon I will get on a whole different level of eating in course of my IIN studies.
