1/12/2011 – day 8
Finally feeling energetic! Didn’t even drink Vitality Super Greens today, barely woke up as usual but listened to recorded Adoley Odunton (she is awesome, by the way) call while doing some meditation and yoga on the floor. And of course very good b. movement this morning. Can't be healthy without that! :) Got all dressed up and rocked at work! So cool. J
My new discovery: Last night I ate at 5 pm and went running to city college truck but felt super weak. Came back home and just sat at the dining table texting and doing nothing after taking Vitamin C. Then I had some chicken broth with corn chips and fried Brussels sprouts and everything was so damn tasty. Talked on the phone to a girlfriend and my Granny, and had energy to smile and really talk to them. This incredible sense of peace that I really want to hold on to. This was mostly possibly because of the fact that my husband and I are in a silent fight and have not been talking for a couple of days. Which made me think: maybe this fight really worth it to remind me that yes, I need to give HIM space, but I also need to give ME space. I don’t need to frantically think of what to do when I have a free second. What people 100 years ago did? What cave men did? They didn’t have a computer to stare at. They just sat and rested enjoying their homes. I’m glad my husband was on the Internet forever last night because it forced me to calm down and seat still. Very interesting and very healing to the adrenals.
1/14/2011 – day 10
Yesterday felt very tired in general and especially after doing two jobs (my usual office job and some random interpreting job on a side). Interestingly: started having some white tea (caffeine) in a.m. but stopped cuz I felt it will make me shaky. So my body is finally starting to communicate with me. And I tried one of those raw chocolate bars w/ goji berry when I was feeling sad and exhausted after work. Made me feel balanced and happy, which helped me a lot to have a very productive make up conversation with my husband. This diet definitely helps my marriage! J
Today I’m feeling energized again with no craving for caffeine or sugar. How cool is that??
Lunch: cooked my first miso salmon! (See the recipe earlier.) Delish. J
