Love the quote: "We first make our habits, and then our habits make us." - John Dryden
Going strong! Not strictly on BED diet, but definitely on a healthy one! Went to the farmers market on Saturday and really enjoyed it. Especially after listening to the recorded health call with some famous nutritionist on Friday night. Her theory is that food can be a best medicine, if you use the best available local fresh organic produce, and if you really enjoy it while eating it. Colors are important too – the more colorful, the better, because this is sun energy stored there. So off I went to my farmers market to get some strawberries, kale, snap peas, etc. So cool! Makes you feel so grounded right away. And those strawberries and blueberries were amazing with my goat milk kefir.
More progress to report – I ran again on the beach yesterday, barefoot again, and again – feeling wonderful. A sunny day ocean is just so incredibly beautiful and energizing. Working on my stamina, but no pushing, step by step.
And even more progress – last night I cooked my first veggie soup that turned out quite delicious! Surprisingly because it’s only veggies, water and spices. I just had this soup for breakfast by adding my buckwheat and butter into it. Definitely will stop buying those pre-cooked packaged soups now! Even though they are not that bad and should be stored in a pantry just in case I’m in a hurry and don’t have a fresh one.
it looks yummy! I want a recipe )))
ReplyDeleteOk, I will give the recipe in my next post, probably tonight as I will be cooking another batch of that soup. :)
